The final settlement of your personal assets will be processed by an Attorney or the Probate Court System. The Probate process is costly and can take a considerable amount of time (9 –10 months depending on the value and size of the estate).
You can save your heirs thousands of dollars and mental stress, by establishing a “Living Trust” for your estate. This would mean that the settlement of your assets are processed by an Attorney, without having to go through the Probate Court System. The process is not as expensive and they will have the Attorney to assist them, every step of the way.
Your “Will” is a part of this process and the final settlement of assets are listed in detail. This is the only way to complete your estate in an orderly manner and I encourage you to get this processed.
